Using RiderSOS
RiderSOS is an informational tool that links a physical product (a helmet tag, key tag, emergency card or Bike ID tag) to a profile you create and control. It is not a monitoring service and does not detect incidents on its own.
In any emergency, call 999. You are responsible for keeping the information on your profile accurate and up to date.

By creating an account, placing an order, or using a RiderSOS product, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site or products.
Your account
You must be at least 18 to create a RiderSOS account and place an order. Junior rider profiles (for riders under 18) must be set up and managed by a parent or guardian, as described in the privacy notice.
Keep your login details confidential. You're responsible for activity on your account, and should tell us straight away at support@ridersos.uk if you think it's been accessed without your permission.
Orders and payment
Product listings and prices are shown in GBP and include VAT where applicable. We take reasonable care to make sure prices and descriptions are correct, but if an obvious error slips through, we'll contact you before processing an order rather than honour the mistaken price.
Payments are processed securely by Stripe; RiderSOS does not store your card details. A contract is formed when we confirm your order by email, not at the point of checkout - we may decline or cancel an order (for example if stock runs out) and will refund you in full if that happens.
Delivery, cancellation and returns
Delivery estimates, our 30-day guarantee, your statutory 14-day cancellation right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, and how to start a return are all covered in full on the Delivery & Returns page - that page takes precedence over this section for anything specific to returns.
RiderSOS Pro subscription
RiderSOS Pro is an optional recurring subscription billed through Stripe. It renews automatically until you cancel. You can manage or cancel it at any time from your account dashboard, which opens Stripe's own secure billing portal.
Cancelling stops future renewals; it doesn't automatically refund the current billing period unless required by law or agreed by us. Pro features (such as Ride and priority support) are only available while a subscription is active.
Emergency and medical information
Any emergency profile, medical information or emergency contact you add may be shown to anyone who scans or opens the linked NFC or QR product. Only enter information you're comfortable being visible in that situation.
RiderSOS provides the platform that displays this information - we don't verify its accuracy, and we're not a substitute for medical identification jewellery, insurance documents, or emergency services. Full detail on visibility and consent is in the Medical Data and UK GDPR policy.
Acceptable use
Don't use RiderSOS to submit false emergency information, impersonate someone else, attempt to access another user's account or profile, interfere with the service (including scanning or probing tags you don't own), or use the site for any unlawful purpose.
We may suspend or close an account that breaches this section, with notice where practical.
Intellectual property
The RiderSOS name, logo, website content and product designs belong to RiderSOS or its licensors. You may use the site and products for their intended personal purpose, but may not copy, resell, or reverse-engineer them without our written permission.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't lawfully be limited or excluded under English law.
Subject to that, RiderSOS is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for outcomes arising from information a user chose to enter (or not enter) on their own profile. Our total liability for a claim relating to a product or subscription is limited to the amount you paid for it.
Changes, law and contact
We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes to the service or the law; the current version always applies. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute - unless you're a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK, in which case you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
Questions about these terms: support@ridersos.uk or write to RiderSOS, 54 Cromwell Road, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, GL52 5DW.
