RiderSOS cookie policy
Cookies, made clear.
This policy explains how RiderSOS uses cookies, local storage, service workers and similar technologies on ridersos.uk. It should be read with our Privacy Notice.
01
Who this policy covers

02
What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small text files stored on a phone, tablet or computer when a website is used. They allow a site to recognise a browser, keep a session secure or remember a choice.
Similar technologies include local storage, which saves information in a browser, and service-worker caches, which can keep selected files available when a connection is poor or unavailable. This policy uses “cookies” as a convenient collective term where the same transparency rules apply.
03
How RiderSOS uses them
RiderSOS uses strictly necessary technologies to keep users signed in, protect forms, maintain cart contents, remember cookie choices, and provide requested emergency-profile functions. These technologies are required for the service or for security and cannot be disabled through our preference banner.
Non-essential analytics, preference and marketing technologies require a choice before they may be enabled. RiderSOS uses Google Analytics to understand how the site is used and to improve it; it only loads after the "analytics" category is accepted through the cookie banner. RiderSOS does not currently load advertising or retargeting pixels.

05
Optional cookie categories
Preferences
These could remember optional display or convenience settings. No separate optional preference tool is currently active.
Analytics and reporting
RiderSOS uses Google Analytics to measure visits and improve the site. It only loads once this category is accepted, and is never active for "necessary only" visitors.
Marketing and retargeting
These could measure campaigns or personalise advertising. RiderSOS does not currently load advertising or retargeting pixels.
06
Third-party services and links
RiderSOS uses external providers for functions such as Stripe checkout, Google sign-in, email delivery, hosting and map links. Opening or using a provider’s service may allow that provider to set its own cookies under its own domain and policy.
RiderSOS does not control cookies placed directly by another website after a user follows an external link. We do not describe those provider cookies as RiderSOS cookies.
07
How to control cookies
You can reopen the RiderSOS choices at any time. Rejecting optional cookies does not prevent use of the core site. You can also remove cookies, local storage and cached site data through your browser settings, although doing so may sign you out, clear your cart and remove offline emergency-profile availability from that device.
